I had an issue with my Sony mirrorless camera rolling around in the front seat when I drive around or go offroading. Unfortunately, I cannot pack the camera into my backpack as sometimes I need to take driving footage. I wanted a heavy-duty camera mount to not hold only the camera from rolling around but to also be a tripod for video.
I had an idea in mind and I decided to experiment with 1/8" steel flats to see if they could support my camera. My inspiration for this idea was the police car laptop mounts and I thought I could make something similar for a camera.
